History & Mission

Our History

Cabot Credit Union was officially chartered on June 6, 1931, after successfully completing the filing process with the Department of Banking.

On February 1, 1956, Cabot Credit Union changed our name to Cabot Employees Credit Union to better reflect the membership of the time. When Cabot Machinery Division was sold to Ingersoll Rand Oilfield Products, membership was made available to Ingersoll Rand employees beginning on September 11, 1980. By December 18, 1985, the credit union once again changed our name to support the select employer groups becoming Cabot & NOI Employees Credit Union.

Keeping pace with the many changes in our select employer groups, today we are known as Cabot Community Credit Union. In 2012, Cabot & NOI Employees Credit Union was granted a community charter that allows us to provide service to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school within a 10-mile radius of the credit union building. In 2023 Cabot Community Credit Union was granted approval to expand our field of membership to include persons who live, work, worship or attend school in, businesses and other legal entities within Gray County and within Roberts County. Continueing to build on the foundation of our strong past, we look forward to serving our members into the future.

The Credit Union membership is open to all subsidiaries of Cabot Corporation and Cabot Oil & Gas.  Other select employer groups are:  National Oilewell Varco; Hunting-Titan; Ford Family Health Care; Fluid Compressors; Midwest Compressors; Thurmond-McGlothlin; Engine Parts & Supply; Willis Mfg.; Pampa Regional Medical Center and Briarwood Church.

President’s Message

Welcome to the new Cabot Community Credit Union website!  We hope you find that it makes it even easier to locate the information you need.  We have added substantial content to make www.cabotccu.com your best source for financial information and products.  We encourage you to spend just a few minutes exploring the various tabs and links to see the wealth of information we have provided the members of Cabot Community Credit Union.

As you will see, we offer many of the services other financial institutions offer at a price you can afford.  That’s because we are a not-for-profit financial institution owned by people, just like you, in our area who work hard for their money.

Another major difference is that our board of directors are volunteers.  They are not chosen by how much money they have or how much they have invested at Cabot Community Credit Union.  These volunteers are elected by the members of the credit union at our Annual Meeting each year.

Once you become a member of our Credit Union, one of the first things you will notice is the quality of our service.  We are constantly striving to meet our member’s financial needs in the most convenient, professional, and friendly manner imaginable.

A comment we often hear from our credit union members is, “The staff treats us just like family.”  We strive to serve our member’s financial needs.  If you are a member of our credit union, your family is also eligible for membership.  To become a member of Cabot Community Credit Union, you must live, work, worship, or attend school within Gray or Roberts Counties, or be an employee of many of our SEG groups such as Cabot Corporation, Hunting Titan, Pampa Regional Medical Center, Briarwood Church, Ford Family Medicine, Midwest Compressors, Thurmond McGlothlin, or Engine Parts & Supply.

Why just be a customer of another financial institution, when you can be treated like a member of the family?  Credit Union membership means better rates, fewer service charges, and service with a smile.

Thank you for visiting our website.  If you are a member, we sincerely thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.  If you are not yet a member, we invite you to join Cabot Community Credit Union.  It’s a decision you will be glad you made.
